Dr. Bysshe Fernan holds a Master of Public Health with a major in Lifestyle Medicine from the Adventist University of the Philippines. She is a diplomate of the International Board of Lifestyle Medicine and a member of the Philippine College of Lifestyle Medicine.

Currently, she serves as Executive Secretary and Chair of the Education Committee at the Philippine College of Lifestyle Medicine and as Visayas Regional Representative on the Executive Committee of the Philippine Academic Society for Social and Community Medicine (PASCOM). She previously directed medical education at Adventist Medical Center-Bacolod (2020–2023) and sits on the board of Adventist Medical Evangelism Network (AMEN). Dr. Fernan has been recognized as Lifestyle Medicine Physician of the Year 2022 and graduated Cum Laude in her MPH.
